Fillers And Botox

Dermal Fillers & Botox:
These injections can provide a more youthful looking appearance with no downtime. We offer both Botox and fillers injectables for the desired &indicated persons as office procedures on outpatient basis. Botox and dermal fillers are used to smooth out wrinkles and uneven lines on the skin, usually on the face. Though they both serve similar purposes, they’re very different things. While Botox is an injectable muscle relaxant, dermal fillers are used to fill in the ‘gap’, or a wrinkle.
Dermal Fillers:
As we age, our faces start to lose volume and sag as underlying fat and collagen cells diminish. Soft Tissue Fillers, also known as injectable implants, dermal fillers, or wrinkle fillers make the skin more plump and elastic and smooth out lines and wrinkles by internally hydrating the skin to restore elasticity and youthful volume. Although fillers can’t help with excess sagging skin, but can add more volume and provide immediate results at a lower cost than surgery. These treatment aren’t permanent, and they must be repeated and maintained. Some soft tissue fillers also contain lidocaine, which is intended to decrease pain or discomfort related to the injection.
Hyaluronic acid is, a naturally occurring complex sugar molecule that forms large matrices in the connective tissue of the body, such as skin and cartilage. Much like a sponge, its primary function is to bind and absorb water molecules, which creates volume in the face.
Fillers are better for wrinkles that are not caused by muscle movements. Hyaluronic acid fillers are generally used to treat facial wrinkles and folds and to enhance the appearance of the lips. These fillers can also be used to replace the volume lost from the area around the eyes as well as other regions of the face.
Hyaluronic acid fillers work by replacing the hyaluronic acid in the body that has depleted over time, which restores the volume beneath the skin’s surface.
Common areas for treatment are the nose to mouth lines, mouth to chin lines, deep frown lines & back of the hand. Juvederm, Restylane, etc. are commonly used dermal fillers. These are also be used to plump thin lips, enhance shallow contours, and improve the appearance of scars.
Juvederm Voluma ™ XC. Part of the Juvederm family, is specifically intended to treat the cheek area for instant volume and contour. Voluma combats natural aging and loss of skin volume, providing a subtle lift resulting in a more youthful appearance. The soft tissue filler made from non-absorbable (permanent) material is FDA approved ONLY for the correction of nasolabial folds.
Fillers can be used sometimes as non-surgical rhinoplasty procedure especially for:
• Concealing nasal humps or bumps
• Those not ready for revision rhinoplasty to repair a failed surgical nose job
• Nose tip refinement or lifting
• Bridge augmentation
But injection rhinoplasty can’t make your nose smaller or improve conditions inside your nose.
These fillers can fill depressed acne scars, making skin more even & smooth.
Caution should be used to ensure proper placement of the filler material to avoid any complications, hence it should be done by a trained & experienced plastic surgeon.
Human fat- autologous fat harvested from your own body using liposuction can also be used as fillers.
Procedure & Results of Dermal Filler Treatment:
The treatment involves a series of micro-injections in the area where the skin needs added volume to smooth lines and wrinkles. The skin smoothing results of Dermal Fillers are seen immediately and last for up to 6-12 months.
The added bonus of this treatment is it stimulates your own skin to produce more Collagen and Elastin, making it even more smooth and supple and extending the time between treatments.

Botox-Neuromodulation:
Botulinum toxin injections such as Botox treatment is one of the most popular aesthetic treatment, as it is quite safe and very effective option for wrinkles& can be done in minutes. Botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine that should only be given by an appropriately trained plastic surgeon in a clinical environment. The injections shouldn’t be carried out by beauty therapists, who lack the necessary clinical background.
During the procedure, your skin is cleaned and small amounts of botulinum toxin are injected into the area to be treated. Several injections are usually needed at different sites.
The injections usually take effect about three to five days after treatment and it can take up to two weeks for the full effect to be realised. The effects generally last for about three to four months.
These injectable neuromodulators (Botox) act to temporarily weaken overactive muscles on face. They can be used temporarily to improve wrinkles in dynamic areas such as near the eyelids (“crows-feet”), “frown lines” and can also be used to reduce and smooth forehead wrinkles.
Botox may be used to eliminate lipstick lines. These wrinkles are generally caused by repeated muscle movements. Botox can also return the corners of the mouth to an upturned position, create a more youthful-looking upper lip, and eliminate an orange-peel appearance of the chin.
Results last about 3-6 months.
All of our injectables are performed in the office as outpatient procedure by Dr. Bembde.
Liquid Facelift:
Botox & fillers work in different ways, hence are often used during the same session in a procedure popularly called as “Liquid Facelift.”
